The Good 'ol Days

“I don't pity any man who does hard work worth doing. I admire him. I pity the creature who does not work, at whichever end of the social scale he may regard himself as being.”

WORLD PRIDE

Decided to do a reading for Pride with my animal cards and got a very interesting message I wanted to share...

"Eagle soars high enough to see the grand panorama of life, and yet has vision keen enough to spot a fish a mile away. How's your vision? Are you seeing the big picture or have you gotten so lost in the trees you've forgotten the forest. Eagle is asking you to take a step back so you can once again see the whole."

What this meant to me is that we may not share the same blood, but we are all held to this Earth by the same gravity and the Air that keeps us alive. In all of our distinct colours and individual cultures, we are united under the same light of the Sun.

Words for the day

“Some changes look negative on the surface but you will soon realize that space is being created in your life for something new to emerge.”

One for the team

I was reminded of an incident today that happened while I was an assistant manager at Walmart.
One of my coworkers, an older gentleman that worked in the sporting goods department, wanted to know if he could ask me a personal question. I agreed.
He said, "So...are you really queer?"
I replied, "O yeah! Queerer than a $2 bill."
Looking confused, he said, "You mean a $3 bill."
I said, "No. I mean a $2 bill."
Quickly coming back, he said, "But you can find a $2 bill almost anywhere."
I said, "Exactly!", and walked away.

IMPORTANT MSG FOR ALL!

“Don't be too hard on yourself. There are plenty of people willing to do that for you. Do your best and surrender the rest. Tell yourself, "I am doing the best I can with what I have in this moment. That is all I can ever expect of anyone, including me." Love yourself and be proud of everything you do, even your mistakes, because your mistakes mean you're trying.

If you feel like others are not treating you with love and respect, check your price tag. Perhaps you subconsciously marked yourself down. Because it's YOU who tells others what you're worth by showing them what you are willing to accept for your time and attention. So get off the clearance rack. If you don't value and respect yourself, wholeheartedly, no one else will either.”

ASK THE BIG QUESTIONS!

The BIG question for 2014!!?? We are always hearing about how Social Security is going to run out of money. How come we never hear about Welfare running out of money? What's interesting, the first group worked and paid for their money... the second didn't!!
